New LED auxiliary driving lights strike the perfect balance between visibility and value

Frankfurt, Germany – September 13th, 2022 – Combining performance with practicality, Philips new Ultinon Drive 2000 series LED auxiliary driving lights offers the superior illumination from LEDs in a durable, road-legal range that’s accessibly priced. A clearer, brighter view of the road ahead, and the safety that comes with it, just got even more affordable.

The brightness to see further and react faster

The Philips Ultinon Drive 2000 series produces outstanding forward visibility, projecting an optimized beam pattern as far as 400 meters to illuminate the road in greater detail and reveal potential hazards on either side. A color temperature of 6000 Kelvin[1] avoids straining drivers’ eyes. The net result is greater ability to interpret the road ahead, identify possible risks and take corrective action sooner. The range consists of three light bars and a round driving light, each of which can also operate as position lights. All feature an integrated heatsink to keep the LEDs cool. Every Philips Ultinon Drive 2000 series light has ECE R148 and ECE-149 approval for use on European public roads in high-beam and position-light functions.

Designed to withstand life’s knocks and shocks

Featuring both IK07 impact resistance and IK67 protection from dust and water (IP68/IP69K for Philips UD2001R), the Philips Ultinon Drive 2000 series can easily handle windblown sand or driving through a deep stream — the kind of robust versatility that today’s vehicles need. The lights have tough, one-piece bodies and their lenses are made from unbreakable, scratch-resistant polycarbonate. Stainless-steel mounts enable them to withstand snow, ice, and even salt without risk of corrosion for years of reliable service. Each light in the range has been tested to the EMC R10 specification to ensure compatibility with most car and truck electrical systems. It all adds up to a highly practical package offering unique value to cost-conscious drivers.
