New LUXEON HL4Z Delivers High Intensity, Very-High Light Output, and High Efficacy 

Lumileds announces the release of the LUXEON HL4Z un-domed power LED intended for applications that require very high intensity and superior efficacy. Optical designers and engineers must typically make a tradeoff between optimizing optical design and achieving high efficacy. Lumileds addresses this dilemma with its innovative LUXEON HL4Z. At maximum current, the undomed LED delivers tremendous intensity – over 1400lm – from its 2.16mm² light emitting surface at 85°C. And at 70CRI, 4000K, 85°C, and 700mA, typical efficacy of the new LUXEON HL4Z is an impressive 189lm/W.
