San Jose, CA – Today Lumileds announced new additions to its LUXEON CoB LED Family, specifically to the LUXEON CoB Core Range and the LUXEON CoB with CrispWhite Technology. Powered by Lumileds proprietary phosphor technology, these two CoB product ranges can now deliver minimum 95 CRI performance (97 CRI under typical operating conditions), for the most impactful and accurate display of color in applications such as high impact retail and indoor area lighting. Coupled with R9 > 90 for the LUXEON CoB Core Range, Lumileds is achieving a new standard in CoB LED lighting. “As lighting becomes more crucial to the overall design of a retail or indoor environment, color quality requirements have also grown more stringent. Lumileds is addressing these needs with the addition of minimum 95 CRI CoB LEDs, so that we can help our customers achieve the most stunning and effective displays,” said Keen Oun Yap, Product Manager for the LUXEON CoB LED Family.
The high CRI LUXEON CoB Core Range LEDs utilize a standard wavelength die and just like the rest of the range, continue to deliver the lowest thermal resistance in the industry. These minimum 95 CRI parts are available in 2700K and 3000K, and are available at 110 lm/W, 85°C operating conditions, so that lighting manufacturers can have the highest light quality without compromising on efficacy requirements. LUXEON CoB with CrispWhite Technology was designed for fashion retail lighting to reveal the whitest whites to highlight merchandise, and the new high CRI parts also provide > 95 lm/W, with 97CRI.
